What is the difference between Reiki 1 & 2?

Reiki is typically taught in levels or degrees, with Reiki 1 being the first level and Reiki 2 being the second level.

In Reiki 1, you will learn the basic concepts and techniques of Reiki, including hand positions for self-healing and healing others. The focus is on developing the ability to channel Reiki energy and to use it for healing purposes.

In Reiki 2, the student learns more advanced techniques and symbols that can be used to amplify the Reiki energy and to facilitate distant healing. The student also learns how to send healing energy to specific situations, such as past traumas or future events. Additionally, Reiki 2 includes further development of the student's intuitive abilities.

Overall, Reiki 2 builds upon the foundation established in Reiki 1 and provides students with a deeper understanding of Reiki and its potential for healing.

Why are there 2 weeks between each class?

This is to allow the teachings and atunements you received in Reiki 1 to fully integrate before diving into Reiki 2. During the weeks prior to taking the second course, you will be required to practice self Reiki and take notes of how you applied Reiki to your life before you begin the next level.

Will I be able to offer Reiki services professionally after this course?

Yes! After completing both Reiki 1 and 2 courses and receiving your certificate from myself, your Reiki Master Teacher, you are free and able to offer your service as a Reiki Practitioner.

These methods have been developed and rigorously tested by the esteemed International Center for Reiki Training.

In this class you will receive in depth teaching to perform effective Reiki treatments on yourself and others using high-quality standards from the International Center for Reiki Training, which is one of the largest Reiki associations in the world. You will learn about the history of Reiki, how it works, the hand positions, and the human energy system. You will also receive the advanced Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki 1 & Reiki 2 Placements, which are powerful energy atunements that connect you to the source of Reiki energy, giving you the ability to provide Reiki to yourself and others for life.

In addition, you will learn how to scan and read the human energy field and receive instructions on using the original Japanese Reiki Techniques to develop your intuitive senses and healing abilities. This includes Gassho, Reiji-ho, Byosen Scanning, Chiryo, and Kenyoku.

The training includes a combination of lecture, audiovisual presentation, discussion, demonstration, energy attunement, meditation, and practice. You will also receive a 179-page paper ICRT training manual for Reiki 1 & 2, which will be shipped to you before class.

After completion of Reiki Level 1 training, there will be a short 2-week break to allow for integration of Level 1 attunement and knowledge learned, then we will resume with Reiki Level 2 training which will be the conclusion for this course. After completing this course you will receive a First and Second Degree Reiki certificate. You must register in advance and attend the entirety of both online classes to gain the ability to perform Reiki and receive your certificate.

It is recommended that you prepare for the class by getting a good night's rest and having a healthy breakfast the morning of. Please find a quiet and private location for the day, and be fully present to receive the gift of Reiki.

Classes are full day, and will have an hour break for lunch.

I feel called to Reiki and would like to learn, how do I know if I am a healer?

There’s really only one way to know for sure. My best advice to you is trust the guidance, and honor this calling within you, this is your intuition. What awaits you on this journey with Reiki is for you to find out.

Will Reiki improve my intuitive abilities?

Reiki enhances intuitive abilities by helping to clear and balance the chakras, which are the energy centers in the body that are associated with different aspects of physical, emotional, and spiritual health. When the chakras are blocked or out of balance, it can lead to physical and emotional problems, and it can also interfere with the flow of energy and intuition.

During Reiki sessions, the practitioner channels universal life force energy to the recipient, helping to clear blockages and balance the chakras. This can promote relaxation, reduce stress and anxiety, and help to stimulate the body's natural healing processes. By promoting relaxation and balance, Reiki can also help to open the mind to deeper levels of intuition and awareness.

In addition to promoting relaxation and balance, Reiki can also help to enhance intuition by raising the recipient's vibrational frequency. This can make it easier for the recipient to connect with their own inner guidance and spiritual intuition, and to receive insights and guidance from higher spiritual realms.

Does Reiki conflict with my own religious beliefs?

Reiki is not a religion and does not conflict with any religious beliefs. It is a complementary therapy that can be used in conjunction with other healing modalities and spiritual practices. Reiki is based on the principle of channeling universal life force energy to promote healing, and it does not require any particular beliefs or religious affiliations.

Some people who practice Reiki may incorporate spiritual or religious beliefs into their practice, but this is a personal choice and not a requirement of the practice itself. In fact, Reiki is often used in hospitals and medical settings as a complementary therapy to support patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, regardless of their religious beliefs.

I’m not planning on offering Reiki services. Can I still get certified? 

Yes — to empower yourself and acknowledge the healer within you. The atunements you will receive in these courses will create a conscious connection with source that will allow you to apply life force energy to all aspects of your life, creating a more enriching and nourishing experience.
